Madeleine (Backstory) 

I don’t think Madeleine is an album you listen to from start to finish like a story with a clear ending.
It feels more like walking through a place you’ve been before different rooms, different moods, but somehow all connected.

Some nights in there are heavy. Quiet. The kind where everything feels slowed down and you’re left alone with your thoughts longer than you’d like. Other moments feel almost warm like something good is about to happen, even if it doesn’t last.

I didn’t try to make one emotion make sense of the others. I just let them exist next to each other.

There are songs on this album that feel like 3am empty streets, unanswered messages, the sound of your own thoughts getting louder. And then there are songs that feel like early morning soft light coming through the window, like maybe things aren’t as heavy as they felt a few hours ago.

Madeleine lives somewhere between those two states.

It’s not just about love, or loss, or nostalgia it’s about how quickly those feelings can blur into each other. One moment you’re holding onto something, the next you’re letting it go, and sometimes you don’t even realize when that shift happens.

The name Madeleine isn’t fixed. It changes depending on who’s listening. It could be a person, a memory, a version of yourself you don’t recognize anymore.

I think that’s why I made it this way not to explain anything, but to leave space.

Space for people to sit in whatever they’re feeling without needing to label it.

Some songs might feel like endings. Some might feel like beginnings. Most of them are somewhere in between.

If you stay with it long enough, it starts to feel less like listening to music…
and more like remembering something you can’t fully explain.
